1997 Nissan Patrol RX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Go anywhere vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not much has gone wrong so far:
- Air-con was re-gassed
- Fixed smoky engine by cleaning the snorkel filter
- Electrical issues due the battery clamps - easily fixed.
General comments?
This GQ Patrol is my first 4wd so I did not want to spend too much money in case I crash it due to my inexperience. Basically I made an absolute bargain and I could really not have been happier with the truck.
It has taken us to some places we never dreamt of seeing. I have covered some harsh terrain and I have never been disappointed with its capabilities.
This car is no rocket on bitumen, but I bought it to do some serious four wheel driving. In hindsight it may have been better to buy 4.2 GQ diesel, but then again I would have had to pay much more for it.
This car is a keepa - until our next 4wd which will also be Patrol.
