2000 Audi A6 2.7T review from North America
"Beware"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After a few months, the car would begin to run on only 5 cylinders. Dealer could see this in the computer log, but could not find the problem. Began mass replacement of parts, such as injectors, coils, etc. Only after almost 4 years, was it tracked to a wiring harness.
The dealer also had to replace 3 catalytic converters and the power window mechanism in the driver's door.
Battery died from lack of water (regular service schedule at dealer).
Rear window leaked and ruined headliner.
Car spent 3.5 months at the dealer shop out of my 4 year ownership period. Only wonderful part was the Audi lease; I paid the lease off and turned it in early before the warranty expired.
General comments?
Very fast car, great interior, very good in snowy weather.
