1999 GMC Jimmy SLT review from North America
"Great midsized SUV"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Normal things gone wrong. Brakes wear out quickly and it goes through tires quick regardless of what kind I buy. Replaced oil pump at 235000kms and replaced belts every 25000kms. Fuel pump is about to go. Leather in good shape. Paint holding up very well. 4WD is in good shape. Truck still gets 25mpg highway. Door bushings and pins at 800000kms and 190000kms. Rear windshield wiper motor around 70000kms.
General comments?
Excellent truck.
I know 3 other people with Jimmy's at my work and all the same year with no problems. One of them JUST bought theirs for $6500 with 290000kms on it and it flew through an e test and safety with flying colours.
I suggest this model. It's great for family and wonderful for 4WD fun.
I don;t know what people are doing to make theirs die so quick.
