1995 Buick Regal custom review from North America
"Great car, would buy another one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine coolant thermostat replaced.
Front suspension redone- Passenger side strut assembly replaced due to leaking.
Tires replaced- previous driver drove with flat tires and rubbed against curbs.
Minor damages all around from previous driver.
Replacing speakers at the end of winter. bass sounds hollow.
Spark plugs replaced.
General comments?
This is a great car with lots of interior space and a very large trunk.
It has lots of features: Power seats/mirrors/windows/ locks, Steering wheel stereo controls (don't work now because I replaced the tape deck with a Cd deck), Comfortable seats great for long distances, ABS brakes, etc.
Heater is great, it warms up quickly and stays warm even when the car is left in the cold all day.
Good speakers, although bass sounds hollow. The original tape deck had automatic volume control so you couldn't blow your speakers by turning it up too loud.
The 3.1 Liter engine is powerful for a 90s car. Lots of get up and go, although maintenance is a pain in the ass. There is not a lot of room under the hood and its hard to pull parts out. It took me 4 hours to replace a thermostat that on any other car would take 15 minutes.
Cd player was harder to install then on my Caravan, but with an adapter and a lot of time, it went in.
