2001 Chevrolet S-10 LS review from North America

I own a 2001 s10 ext long-bed 4x4 with the 4.3 v6 and auto transmission. Nothing but a nightmare. the day I bought it the starter went out. Since I've owned it I've had to replace the following: both front hubs twice, brake shoes 3x, all front ball joints3x, both CV shafts twice, gears in rear axle twice, TPS, all 3 o-2 sensors,3rd door handle, recline lever (driver seat),thermostat, both front tie-rods, torsion bars bushings, bump stops on the a-arms, brake light switch, countless fuses, turn signal bulbs constantly, CD player, rear axle seals twice in the past year. There is a lot more than listed here. I can't even remember everything right now.

This truck has been nothing, but a money pit since I bought it. It gets poor gas mileage, does not hold its value at all, in my personal opinion it is a very poorly designed vehicle. The frame is too narrow for the length of the truck and it does not handle the power put out by the v6 very well at all. The suspension has not been altered at all on my truck, but it can't even fit the factory size tires up front; I have to put 30 inch tires on it instead of the 31 inch tires recommended by the manual. I will say I have not had any problems with the transmission, but I think that is the only thing I haven't had problems with. After owning this truck I will never buy another Chevy. I'm going back to dodge and that's where I'm staying.
