2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Too many problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
We have had numerous door lock problems as well as the ever present brake problems that so many other jeep owners have.
The most recent problem is the grand daddy of them all. The computer brain has been replaced twice in six weeks along with all the computer modules. Most all wires have been traced. Still all the dash warning lights will come on, all gages either jump or just go dead. After six weeks the dealer has called uncle. They cannot find the short. So the vehicle is usless at this point.
Emails to Chrysler just fall on deaf ears. $32,000 vehicle and it is done before 100,000 miles. No wonder the foreign cars have taken over. And this vehicle has never missed a service and has always had all repairs done at a Jeep dealership.
Another problem with the Jeep is that it would go through a battery every two years.
