2006 Ford Fusion SE review from North America
"Good value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A lot of wind noise at highway speeds.
Brakes rotors turned at 5,000 miles.
Brakes still make a clunking sound when going from forward to reverse. Have to take it back to dealership.
General comments?
Overall I am very happy with the car. Power and handling are excellent and with leather seats and most of the available options it easily beats out the competition that was priced much higher. 0% financing made it a no brainer.
I bought this car for road-trips, so the wind noise is pretty disheartening. Dealership has attempted to correct it twice, but the problem persists.
My only other real issue with the car is the fuel mileage. I was initially getting about 29mpg on the highway. When I took it in for service the dealership said it needed the new PCM update and my fuel mileage dropped about 4-6 mpg. Up until that point I was thrilled with the performance and economy. Still waiting for another update that will maybe give me those mpg's back!
