1995 Ford Taurus SE review from North America
"I Recommend This Vehicle as A New Driver"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not much has gone wrong with this Taurus SE. The vehicle was involved in a accident in 2001 and has recently had the front bumper/hood assembly replaced. The steering column is off center, but I believe this to be because they failed to re-align the wheel at the shop.
My alternator died @ 113,485...but it was the original unit, so I was expecting something would go.
Catalytic Converter had to be replaced Summer of 2007 due to rattling noise. Muffler and exhaust systems updated.
Other than that, nothing else so far.
General comments?
This car is fantastic! I love it as both a new driver and one as wanting to assure a safe ride. The horsepower is amazing and definitely is worth the age. It handles like on rails, cabin is a bit aged, but is comfortable. Only the best from Ford Motors. Body and shell holding up quite nicely... the model I have was actually the model in the show room, mixed package between SE and SHO (I believe the engine is the V6 SHO engine, hearing that this engine is more powerful then the traditional V6 Engine). Paint still looks like its new, in places. No Rust anywhere.
