2003 Peugeot 106 1.1 Independence review from UK and Ireland
"Fun to drive great handling economic low insurance = very good overall"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In my short but sweet ownership of the car all that went wrong was the fans/heater motors packed up, which was easily replaced.
General comments?
This car has above average handling and control for a car of it's size and spec, an upgrade in wheels and tyres will definitely improve the road holding.
If you can live without too many mod cons such as air con
this is a great get about and and distance car too!
Fuel consumption is good around town and even on dual carriageways/ motorways when driven under 3500rpm.
Seating in the front is comfortable although slightly cramped in the back on longer journeys, this could become an issue.
No rust issues.
Only downside to my ownership of this car is that it ended too soon! I had a low speed slip at about 20mph on some black ice, which I hit a grass bank and bent the front end support strut. Which only makes me wonder what happens in a crash at 60mph+
