2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS review from North America
"Generally Under-Rated Reliable Truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
75,000 Heater Core Blew. Cost 1100 to replace, though I did it at Goodyear.
84,000 Driver's Window, Gear driving window froze temporarily. Fixed myself just by removing door panel and adjusting fitting.
It seems to be more about how it was taken care of, rather than just being generally unreliable. I checked the bearings, pittman arms etc a few months ago, technician said they looked old, but fine.
General comments?
Bad Gas mileage, but it is an SUV. I get about 17city/20hwy.
Back seat in 2 door is hard to access, but roomy enough.
Great Towing/Storage abilities. I've pulled people out of floods, taxied people in foul weather, and Hauled more things than I care to think about, moved 4 times since I bought it. It will not slip or lose control unless I make it. Overall I love this truck, but debating selling, due to having a family on the way. It is hard to get a baby in and out of the backseat.
Begins to get loud over 80mph, but what car doesn't?
