1992 Volkswagen Passat GLS review from North America
"A Giant Hunk Of Junk!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oh my gosh, where do I even start?!
Fuel Pump
brake fluid pump thing
electrical wiring
battery
and probably a ton more that I don't know of yet...
General comments?
Oh this was a piece of crap! It had very little miles on it for how old it was (60,000). I bought it as a decent car to run to school and work.
The car's electrical seat belts would randomly slide back and forth, the headlights would flicker, the radio would flicker, I had problems with the brakes I had to downshift to stop, the car would randomly just shut off while driving it, battery would randomly die, the muffler came off once, the catalytic converter almost fell out the bottom of the car... oh the joys of pushing my car out of the way on busy streets (it was heavy sucker!!) The car would overheat constantly. The stupid car starts, but doesn't move and is sitting in my parents garage. I just wish I could take a baseball bat to it...
