1975 Datsun 260C Custom Deluxe Wagon review from Australia and New Zealand
"Cruiser, looker, no pedigree, perfect"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Apparently the starter motor has already chewed one flex flywheel ring to pieces. However as soon as it started crunching this time, I had the starter motor rebuilt.
General comments?
The thing I like most about my Datsun Nissan H330's is that I think that I understand how they work (except for their transmissions). One could claim to understand the inner most secret strategy to its perfect design, but I don't, instead I just enjoy it.
As the second owner of one, and the fourth owner of the other, there is no way I can look you in the eye, hand on heart and state the factual kilometridge /milage of either (easily clockable odometers), but I am confident they still have many good years in them. All I need now is an abundant cheap fuel supply.
In New Zealand most people seem to choose newer type, intelligent cars because they accept the fact that if their car stops working, they can at-worst, just go buy a new one.
