2002 BMW X5 review from North America
"Built to last, nice performance, but expensive to fix"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
-Front suspension noise, dealer added some lubricant and replaced some gaskets ($250)
-Front Grille housing ware out ($150 Dealer)
-Plastic brackets broke off for window shades and door weather strips ($15 Dealer)
-Brake replacement and turned rotors ($400 auto shop)
General comments?
My previous car was a Chevy Suburban, definitely I can't compare the 2 of them, on the other hand, I can say that I am still happy with my 2002 BMW X5, I am aware this cars are very expensive to fix, so now that I have 72K I am considering selling it. Unfortunately the price value is not good. I am shopping around to get a quote for the 100K service (from the dealer) and I will make a selling decision.
