1993 Dodge Colt 2 Dr review from North America
"Phenomenal car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt tensioner self-destructed at 212000, head replacement as a result. All exhaust valves where bent.
Although I should have replaced it and knew of its condition at 200,000 KMs.
General comments?
Except for the one repair I could have prevented with a replacement of the timing belt tensioner with the belt at 200,000 KM, this car was EXCELLENT!
A little underpowered (this is an econo-box however) but man could this little car handle! Great feedback through the steering wheel (un-assisted steering) and chassis.
The best winter car that I have ever owned, Period!
I put a set of Nokian Hakkappelitta 2s (pardon the spelling) and nothing could stop this car.
Great in traffic because its small except when you get rear ended and written off.
After owning this car, I am looking for another one.
