1994 Nissan Altima GL review from North America
"run for your life"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission; 3 months after getting the vehicle, the transmission started to slip, after fluid changes and everything else. I spent 1800 to rebuild the transmission.
Alternator, 4 months after purchasing it, the car wouldn't start up, and none of the gauges worked at all. The dealer replaced the battery for no apparent reason also.
Camshaft sensor 7 months after purchasing it. I tried to start the car one day during the winter and the car wouldn't start.
General comments?
I had so many problems with this car; I spent over 3000 dollars in the first 8 months of owning this car and sold it, because I couldn't stand to look at it any more. I replaced just about everything in the car, and would never buy another Nissan. These models are known for transmission troubles.
