General comments?
When I first saw the car I knew I had to have it. Big boat car pimp green with green interior.
The first thing that went wrong with it were the brakes which turned out to be the originals from 1972.
After changing that it started sputtering and dying on me which I found was the fuel filter from sitting so long.
After that my carburetor started going out.
I decided to just go for performance and got an edelbrock 4bbl intake manifold and 650cfm carb to go with it.
The car is really comfortable I've taken it too many desert parties and slept in it after a long night of drunkenness.
The car is decently fast. I always love to race out of all my friends cars that I've raced, Honda civic, Acura Integra, ford f150, Chevy s10 I have yet to be beat. I would estimate the fastest I've ever driven it is about 150-160 and it was a smooth ride.
I'm currently looking forward to building a new engine for it with a camshaft for low end and re gearing it to 4:11.
Should be fun.
