1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport review from North America
"(J) ust (E) mpty (E) very (P) ocket"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Driver side window (plastic) gear stripped - required replacement of entire power window assembly - $300.
Intermittent use of passenger side power window.
Numerous cracked windshields.
Brake caliper brake bolt hole thread stripped during last brake shoe replacement.
Goodyear AT factory installed tires prematurely scalloped and caused front end to shake violently at times.
Getting rust spots under the paint in some areas.
Some of the cheap wheel lug nut covers have fallen off.
The car idle speed will intermittenly ramp up from 1200rpm to 2000rpm.
General comments?
GREAT for off road, hunting, and winter driving.
Gas hog.
Poor quality workmanship in materials and assembly overall.
Seats are uncomfortable.
Factory sound system is horrible.
