1992 Nissan Pickup King Cab review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The following things had to be replaced:
The transmission because it kept slipping.
Spark plugs wires rotor cap and knock sensor.
Gas tank, fuel pump, and fuel injector.
Fuel and brake lines.
Had to change all fluids because it sat for 5 years.
General comments?
This Nissan pickup was my 1st car. Before me my dad drove it. He was in the dirt business and he basically used it for work to haul dirt around. After that the truck just sat in our yard for 5 years uncovered, and after the 5 year period we both thought it wouldn't be any useful, because even when he drove it he never took care of it. But when I found out there were not that many parts that had to be replaced, that really shocked me.
This pickup is an amazing off roader!! I drove it through deep mud and never got stuck. However, everything on the truck was all stock; nothing customized!!
I believe this truck would have lasted me a very long time, probably would have got me past 350k, but just to get some money, I sold the truck to a buddy; then he flipped it and he totaled it.
This type of vehicle is nowhere near expensive to maintain, as long as it's taken care of.
