What things have gone wrong with the car?
Other than wear or tear...
Water hoses gave up within weeks of each other, so, changed the one that hadn't.
Bought new battery 400+amps for third of price of
120+amp Jeep battery.
Terrible steering play, bad as pre war american cars!
Thirsty when driven hard, always! Unburstable engine.
4x4 prone to roll over, rubbish, drove it like one of my old racers.
Very reliable, loved it! No real or major problems.
General comments?
Once wound up, great mid range torque, very smooth power delivery from box (auto that is), used it all the time!
Buy another one, you bet. Seriously looking for a Cherokee 2.5 turbo diesel, cheap and cheerful and reliable to take to spain, up in Cherokee country, the Alpujarras, full time.
