2004 Renault Clio Expression dCi 65 review from UK and Ireland
"Great car for anyone under 6ft tall!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing to report; haven't had it very long.
General comments?
The car is great, I really like the engine, which is why I bought it.
Unfortunately I'm getting rid of it next month because I have just ordered a 2008 model Clio, which is a lot bigger and a lot more comfortable.
The old Clio is not good on the back for 4 hours driving, which I do every weekend, and it's also not that great for people over 6ft (i.e me!); my legs are always brushing the steering wheel and you feel very cramped. Anyway enough of me, let's get to the rest of the car!
General build quality of the 2004 model is OK, however the feel of the stalks and handbrake feel very cheap. I know this has been addressed in the new model.
The carpets are really hard to vacuum because of the material.
Fuel economy is great as long as you drive properly (under 3000rpm). I was getting 55-75Mpg.
Generally though the car is lovely and I would recommend to anyone who is under 6ft tall! But loved having it for the 4 months that I did.
