2003 Toyota ECHO 4 door review from North America
"Great economical car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front brakes replaced at 60k
Tires replaced at 70k
dougnut between exhaust and exhaust manifold.
General comments?
This has been a great car. Great gas mileage, okay for comfort, no real repairs.
The only problem to date has been because I was a bad driver. In the winter we scraped something on the undercarrage, casuing the exhaust to pull away from the exhaust manifold (it is on springs). It went back into place, but tehre is a wire doughnut that was squished and developed a exhaust leak before the O2 sensors. This caused the car to run rich and get "poor" gas mileage. I've gone from 27mpg in the city to about 35mpg after the fix, and from 35mpg on the highway to about 45mpg after the fix.
Not too hot on the looks, but it's been a great car, no real repairs, still has great resale.
