2004 Nissan Altima review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My wife's Altima had the same problems that eveyone has described on previous posts. There was a loud clunking noise before 1st and 2nd gear. Usually when the car was cold. I brought the car to the dealer and the technician came up with, a wire was not soldered correctly on the transmission. Unfortunately I do have the exact name for the wire, but the service advisor said that it has become an issue as of late. NMAC is not recalling the issue, but the dealer covered the problem for me. The problem has since been resolved and the car shifts great.
