2007 Lexus GS350 review from North America
"Lexus still sets the bar for all others"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought the car new (2007 Lexus GS350). Although the car only has 6,000 miles on the odometer, it has been nearly flawless. Only problem was a bad motor on the driver's side mirror. Took the car to Lexus dealer, left it there for a day (gave me another Lexus to use while under repair), came back and all is good.
General comments?
Truth be told, a Lexus is a Toyota built to the 10th power. Car is (and sounds) very solid. Runs quietly, the new 303hp engine is very responsive and I get terrific city mileage (for Los Angeles - a realistic 18 MPG). Long drives on the highway are at 29 MPG with two people, a loaded trunk and the A/C on going 70 MPH+. Comfort is excellent.
My only two gripes after 9 months of ownership are that the C pillar is too big; making it difficult to back-up the car in certain situations (that not even the rear camera can help with). Also, the side view mirrors should extend another 1/2" for better rear-viewing when changing lanes. Sounds minimal but they are valid issues.
