2001 Dodge Stratus SXT review from North America
"I'm considering the new Avenger"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tires wear fast and the brakes squeak.
General comments?
The car has been very reliable, just like the 97 Stratus I had, but this car has much more improvement.
This car has the 2.4 4 cylinder; same pickup as my previous 2.5 V6, but it rides more quiet, smooth, and gets better gas mileage. I mostly do highway driving; getting about 29mpg. The 2.4 has 150 and the 2.5 had 168hp. Both these engines are suppose to be so much more reliable than the 2.7.
The inside is so much better than my last Stratus, and has more features, which are worth the price of this car.
I drove 60k on this car, and I had to replace all 4 tires twice, but I guess it's the way I drive.
I highly recommend this car, just don't get the 2.7; if you want a V6, get the 3.0. My sister also drives a Stratus with the 3.0, and she loves it.
Too bad they don't make the Stratus anymore, but I do believe the new Avenger is similar. Does anyone have any good reviews on the 2008 Avenger?
