2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited review from North America

Had a nail in one of the tires.

One of the small compartments in the lower center console got stuck closed, but was easily fixed.

So far with about 9,000 miles and no trouble, this car has been reliable, smooth, comfortable and luxurious, since I got leather seats.

This car averages 27mpg, and it's all hot weather driving (we live in New Mexico) with the AC on full blast. This is both city and highway, but mostly its on the highway.

It's a 4 cylinder engine with 162hp, but it has pickup like a V6. As a matter of fact, it has the same performance score as some other V6 cars.

Every time I'm in the car with my wife, I annoy her on how much better this car is than her Camry. She does not like any other car except Toyota, and she is still mad at me that I did not buy another Toyota. She still does not like this car, no matter how excellent it is. She will not get it through her head.

The Dealer is a pleasure to work with. They were good through the purchase, and they are good with me on service, such as oil changes and tire balance and rotation.

As on the trade in on my previous 98 Corolla, they offered me a higher price than what it's worth on the book value, and they lowered the price on the Sonata to $21,300. That's a $2,800 discount off the regular price, plus 0.9% financing for 72 months.

This is the Limited model. It has leather seats, climate controls, aluminum wheels, a trip computer, an auto dimming mirror and a compass on it, a moonroof, power seats on both driver and passenger, and has power windows and door locks.

Now the accessories. It has a trunk organizer, a first aid kit, a sunroof visor, aluminum step plates, a spoiler, and a trunk mat with upgraded floor mats.
