1990 Ford Escort GT review from North America
"You can't depend on these cars, no matter what other people tell you!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission seal popped off at 55,000.
Fuse box blew twice in one week, costing about $3,000 to fix.
Engine blew at 57,500.
General comments?
When this car was having its good days it ran nice; smooth, fast and furious.
I had this car for 4 very long months, and more than half the time it was in repair shops. This car is so unreliable that this was the worst car I have ever driven. It may look nice but it will not get you from point A to B.
Before the engine blew the car already had about $6,000 in repairs in 3 months, which is very unacceptable for a mint condition little sporty car. Only had less than 60,000 miles on the car.
I will never buy Fords again; they are absolute garbage.
