2004 Skoda Fabia Comfort review from Israel
"GARBAGE"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A better question would be: what hasn't gone wrong?
- TWELVE returns to the dealer within a 24 month warranty.
- FOUR TOWS to the dealer within a 24 month warranty.
- Severe oil consumption during first 6 months.
- POWER STEERING went out within 2 months.
- TIMING BELT BROKE within 5 months.
- Had to change ENGINE HEAD within 5 months.
- THREE Window MOTORS went out within 29 months.
- FUEL PUMP went out within 29 months.
- Clutch Plate BROKE (did NOT wear out!) within 25 months.
- ALTERNATOR went out within 29 months.
- ALARM SYSTEM: Constantly loses settings on key fob (remote.)
- VIRTUALLY EVERY MONTH 'WARNING LIGHTS' come on and go off; or stay on... (i.e. 'EPC', 'Check Engine', 'ABS', 'Power Steering', etc, etc.)
General comments?
- OPINION: Biggest piece of crap ever put on 4 wheels!
- PROMISE: NEVER AGAIN would I buy a Skoda product nor any other product built from VAG crap parts.
- This BRAND NEW car cost me MORE in 2.5 years (rentals, lost work, post-warranty repairs) then my 5 year old used car cost me over 4 years.
