1997 Chevrolet C2500 Silverado review from North America
"Strong... very well designed and built truck!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1) One water pump 20,000 miles (replaced under original warranty)
2) Brakes at 60,000 miles!
General comments?
This truck was a daily use work truck for the first nine years of ownership. (lumber racks and shell) Hauling lumber to job sites.
Now it has a Lance camper that weighs in at around 2500LB's (try that with your Toyota Tundra!)
This truck has not had an easy life, but I took good care of it maintenance wise. (the engine, trans and rear end have never been opened up... or worked on!) And it still runs and drives great, I would have no problem driving across country with the camper and all... We have plans this summer to do just that.
Eleven years into owning this truck I got to say it has never let me down! I can't say that for the two Fords I had... prior to this Chevrolet!
