1999 Lincoln LS review from North America
"Rage inducing turd"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
If you are thinking of buying a Lincoln LS, save your pain and jump in front of a car, but make sure the car is not an LS because it will die before it gets there.
This is definitely the worst car I have ever owned. Here is why:
Car has been through 3 trannys in less than 30,000 miles.
Driver's side door handle cable came unhooked, so climbing over the center console every time I wanted to go somewhere was a real treat.
I replaced all valve cover gaskets because they were releasing oil into the spark plug holes and shorting out coil packs... also had to replace 8 coil packs.
I especially enjoyed hot air blowing out of the driver's side vent when it was 90, and cold air blowing on my girlfriend when it was the dead of winter.
Speaking of winter, do not expect to leave your home if it is snowing.
Sometimes the car's warning beep goes off just to embarrass me whenever I'm taking someone somewhere, and flashes a warning alert too fast to read what it is.
When going over speed bumps, the suspension knocks really hard.
General comments?
Instead of buying a used LS, I should have bought a new Huffy.
