What things have gone wrong with the car?

Carburettor - rebuild and re flowed @ 45mm twin throat.

Distributor - rebuilt and brand new high output coil.

Cams - 75/25 2.2l.

Cylinder head - changed from 75/25 SOHC (fe 2l) street grind, to twin cam 2.2l DOHC (fe 2.2l) with 75/25 street grind.

Mazda 5sp 83 fe 2l - rebuilt with 1989 turbo mx6 gears and syncros.

Suspension - 2" lower with heavy duty progressive king springs and Koni (orange) full adjustable suspension, poly-urethane bushes.

Standard non power steering - wasn't that heavy to steer - fully rebuilt with a tighter turning circle.

Tyres - low profile, Michelin 255/30/r16 front and 255/30/r16 rear.

Rims - mags 10.5"/16" front and rear.

Tint - 75% tint.

Paint (duco) - standard metallic blue flake resprayed.

Seats - Recaro 1989 MX6 front seats.

General comments?

Insane car to drive with lots of high rpm power (368hp@7500rpm) (322nm@4500rpm)

This car is seriously quick and handles like it's on rails.

Elegant blue suede interior (re-covered), blue cloth interior standard.

Electric windows, mirrors, seats, 1989 MX6 sunroof installed in standard 1983 626 turret.

Tilt steering column.

Aftermarket steering wheel - Auto-Technica race blue.

2" straight cut exhaust with gutted muffler, no catalytic converter as the car is pre-1985. 102db with flames when shifting @ 4000rpm - 7500rpm.
