1984 Ferrari Mondial cabriolet review from Italy
"Excellent buy only if drove monthly and proof of cam belts changed"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When just bought at 30000 km
-cylinder of clutch leaking (cilindretto della frizione)
At 35000 km the capote metal structucher broke reweldered
-important always drop with ease center metal frame.
At 40000 km the metal points of the capote cover loose
-cannot dismantle or fix points of attachment of capote cover do not force better a new hand made cover slightly wider for points.
At 45000 km slight oil leaks so dropped engine and also always change belts if the previos owners have not check the invoice of work done!
General comments?
Tram lining effect all past sports cars had it
car designed to go quick not fot slow speeds no power steering
mechanical injection uses more petrol than electronic injection but in thirty years one of fews cars which if breaks down will only be a rele' on fuse box (faulty at the time ferrari recalled who protested for sticky switches now only just drive it time to time anywise things will stop working speedo windows, glovebox, fuel cap switch ecc)
