1999 Plymouth Neon Highline Sedan review from North America
"Small, Dependable, Comfortable."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A coolant leak developed shortly after taking the car home.
Replaced the water pump at about 145k.
This really helped the problem, but there was another gasket that needed replaced, near the radiator hose.
Watch these things, with that coolant leak, overheating was inevitable. I'd always have to carry a gallon of that stuff with me.
General comments?
This wasn't a very powerful car by any means, but it was very dependable, roomy and an easy car to own.
As a graduation gift, this car made going from point A to point B effortless and comfortable.
I never had this car in the garage, my father and I could always do the maintenance on our own. Even without the Haynes manual. Very easy work.
Great first car.
If someone tries to tell you these aren't good cars, they are very much wrong.
