2004 Subaru Liberty GT review from Australia and New Zealand
"Not as good as I hoped"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch failed.
Brake shudder, noise, grinding, etc. pads replaced, discs machined, finally replaced under warranty.
Rough idle - finally had injectors replaced.
Check engine light on - air flow meter replaced
surging.
CD player replaced.
General comments?
After much arguing and online research, the dealer agreed to replace the front discs and pads, injectors etc to cure brake and idling problems.
Air flow meter died and caused rough running. The car was maintained and driven sedately.
A disappointment from a brand that generally is high quality.
After approaching Subaru Aust regarding constant issues, they were quick to respond and sort the problems and provide a loan vehicle. As far as customer service goes, while the dealer let me down in this instance, Subaru Australia were superb at ensuring their reputation remained intact.
