1975 Mercedes-Benz W115 review from Netherlands
"Incredible"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The frontseats were terrible. One iron wire was stucked in my jeans a couple of times. Now I have found two very new front seats for only €50,00.
Also the interior was bad, I've painted it with a special Leather Spray, it's perfect now. All the interior is good.
At the moment I'm starting to renew the exterior. It has rust on it on a few places, especially at the chrome lines. Same with my Honda Civic from 1978, I fixed that very well. Hopefully the same with my Mercedes now. The black colour of the car will be helpfull, no colour changes when spraying.
General comments?
It's a very slow car. I have a renewed 220D Engine in it. It pulls up like a containertruck. But when on speed it rides incredibly steady. With the Mercedes I can ride through obstacles at twice at speed compared to a new volkswagen.
