1991 Mazda B2200 SE-5 review from North America
"I'm driving this truck until it has nothing left to give"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
For the year and the mileage, it could be worse. Had to replace the rear brakes when I purchased it, as the pedal went to the floor. May need a master cylinder in the future, but I am not going to worry about it now.
Needs a radiator due to the lack of maintenance from the previous owners.
Had small mechanical issues with it when I purchased it, mainly with the carburator, sputtered a lot, hesitated, died, but lots of carburator cleaner, 2 cans of sea-foam seems to have helped. Do need to warm it up completely before moving it, even when it's hot out.
General comments?
Great gas mileage, average is 22 city, 26 highway, which beats the 12 mpg with my Ford Explorer, which I used as trade to buy the Mazda.
Has been very dependable in the 5000 miles I have put on it since the end of February; has not left me anywhere, has always started.
It can be a little scary to drive, cos the carburator still has issues, so it bucks and jerks even at highway speeds, but it's still a good little truck.
