1995 Chrysler Intrepid review from North America
"Still better than any Hyundai or Kia out there"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
-Replaced front left wheel bearing and hub assembly.
-Replaced steering rack (3rd time it's been replaced throughout it's lifetime) buy a delco rack because they have a lifetime warranty so whenever the rack goes... you get a new one for free :)
-Parked the car for 3 months and suddenly the front brakes were no good.. $180 new rotors and pads
-Transmission sometimes slips/shudders into overdrive.
General comments?
-This car has over 250,000 kilometres on it... original motor, original transmission. Body is in great condition (It was in Florida every winter until I bought it.)
-It is a great highway car as it cruises along quickly and smoothly with minimal road or wind noise.
-great handling in the corners
-stops on a dime
-a/c still works great
-always starts
-If you can find an Intrepid that seems to have been well taken care of, and drives great (I stress that you give it a good test drive... get it running through all the gears and pay close attention to any steering flaws.) Buy It!
