1995 Geo Prizm LSi review from North America
"Steady, reliable transportation on a budget"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far, besides the basic tires, brake pads, oil changes, and other fluid fills, the only thing that has gone wrong with this car is a minor power steering leak that I keep an eye on and fill from time to time.
General comments?
I bought this for my wife in 2002. I had looked for something that had AC, a good stereo, and maybe Cruise control for $2000ish, and wound up buying this for $2150. It didn't have cruise, the stereo was AM/FM (have since put CD player in it) and the paint was faded, body is a little wavy in spots, but just one drive and I was hooked.
It doesn't have a lot of power, but it is smooth. It gets me 30mpg, so I'm pretty happy with lower power, anyway. At highway speeds it starts to get a little noisy, but it's not something that will make your ears bleed.
The seats are comfy for me or my wife. The gearbox shifts easily, one finger easy. The trunk, while not big, is big enough for groceries or the weekend getaway. Back seat doesn't have bad room, either. The pass-through between the two could be bigger, however.
This has been a really nice car for me, and will probably make my next car a Geo/Toyota as well.
