2005 Ford Fusion SEL review from North America
"The 2006 V6 SEL Fusion isn't bad, but it needs improvements"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I keep hearing a clank sound when I make u-turns and when I first put the car in reverse. 2 dealers have said that's normal, but I know it's not. They replaced a bracket (covered under warranty), but it STILL makes that annoying clank.
Last week I started hearing a screeching noise--this is when the car is stationary with the parking break up--when I first start the engine. I'll be getting it serviced next week.
General comments?
My car is sluggish; when I accelerate quickly it takes 1-2 seconds to engage, and I have seen my life flash a time or two when I forgot to pad my acceleration while changing lanes. Did I say it is a gas guzzler? I get 322 mpg. It's a V6.
I need tires too, and have found tires matching the original manufacture specs for as low as 135 and as high as 279 per tire, depending on the brand.
I'd only purchase this car again if they improved the gas mileage, and the sluggishness.
