1997 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"It needs lots of work and fixes, since the previous owner was a total idiot"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well I just got the car for 250 bucks. It's a hell of a great deal.
The car starts right up and idles just great, revs nice. The only serious problem with is that the engine will stall after put into any gear, but if I let her sit and warm up the engine for 15 minutes, she will go no problem. Drove her everywhere.
Minor problems:
- Rear passenger window does not roll down.
- Exhaust pipe heat shield has came of because of two rusty bolts.
- Driver side key entry is broken due to break in.
- Exterior has some scratches and slight pain wear.
Rest of the car:
It's in a great shape and everything works fine;
very comfy and fun to drive, especially with plastic trays under rear wheels and the E brake on LOL.
General comments?
I love it because she is my first car. I know I've had her for less than a year, but she is not so bad as people say. And I researched everything on it, and will start my minor repairs once I have some time. She isn't the prettiest car, not fastest, but I still love it.
It's all about how well you take care of the car.
