1985 Nissan Sunny L review from UK and Ireland
"Junk yards were invented for a reason. This is it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head gasket blew.
Radiator leaked.
Top hose badly worn.
Cooling system failed causing major engine damage.
Low pressure on one cylinder.
Misfiring despite service.
Damaged synchromesh or sawdust in the gearbox.
Brakes locked up leading to an accident.
Sunroof leaked.
General comments?
This is a truly horrible car.
Despite driving sensibly it almost cost me my life on two occasions - once when the brakes locked up on approach to a roundabout, and once when the engine disintegrated at 65mph.
It was unecononomical, uncomfortable and undriveable - the cream interior made me feel like a pimp or a pensioner and the leaking sunroof made even gentle drizzle a nightmare.
Do not buy one of these or it may cost you more than you bargained for - maybe even as much as your life.
