1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme review from North America
"Takes a beating, parts are cheap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steering linkage.
Ignition module.
Speedometer.
Engine mount.
Most of the usual stuff: exhaust, brakes,
starter, plus body panels.
General comments?
This car held up to heavy abuse without breaking down.
Roomy, comfortable interior, but no frills (reclining seats, intermittent wipers).
It handles well for its size.
It has (used to) a lot of power for a V6.
It cruises on the open road.
Later model years improved most of the undesirable aspects of Cutlasses.
For the most part, it's easy to work on except for the MANY vacuum hoses.
