2000 Ford Fiesta Zetec S review from UK and Ireland
"Zetec-S - understated bigtime"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No major faults - although when pulling away in the mornings I get a very short crunch/grind noise when I hit 3000 revs. It only happens when the cars been sitting for a while. Anyone know what that is??
Sometimes the left hand fog light gets a little condensation on it - but that comes and goes.
General comments?
Seeing my mates mk4 Fiesta's build quailty made me want one. I love the solid feeling of everything - totally the opposite of my pants Clio that buzzed and was flimsy. My Zetec-S has been 100% joy to date.
I recently fitted a Sony headunit, CD changer and running the wires back to the boot for the changer was a synch. For those of you thinking about fitting a new head unit, make sure you get an adaptor plate that is specific for the Fiesta - as I had some grief with wrong ones!
The only thing I may change is the chip at a future date.
I am looking to start a Zetec-S website up for parts/photos/forums/tips etc etc - so please mail me if you are interested in helping me out, taking part!!
