1988 Chevrolet Spectrum CL review from North America
"Worst car for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The drive train has had to be replaced and I've had to get three re-alignments to fix a defect within the wheel system.
I've had to get the carburator rebuilt and the catalytic converter replaced.
I've also had to to numerous small repairs on fuses that blew, headlights that stopped working, and turn signals that turned on for no reason.
There is hesitation in the engine at high speeds and it has trouble going up hills.
I have spent well over $2000 repairing this car since I first purchased it and am in the process of having it towed to the junk yard as it has recently begun to stall every time I start it up.
General comments?
This is the worst car anyone I have ever known has owned. I have spent more on repairs than I would have on monthly payments for a new car. DON'T buy this car.
