1988 Fiat Tipo DGT review from Spain
"I love the Tipo, always did, always will"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Usual wear problems, i.e. temperature sensors, brake pads, exhaust.
General comments?
The Tipo was definitely the best car of this class available in the late 80s, well built, reasonably quick, very spacious, personal design both inside and outside, and just different from the rest.
When I think its main rivals were the VW Golf and the R19, and that most people preferred both of them to the Tipo, I realise that we are heading towards plain and boring uniformity.
