1993 Ford Maverick GL review from UK and Ireland
"A reliable, comfortable good buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New radiator at 65 k miles.
Rear brake overhaul at 68k miles.
Stop lights blow at least every 4 months, fortunately only one at a time.
General comments?
Like it very much, constant 25 mpg, is comfortable and reliable and quiet.
Performance is adequate.
Handling is typical 4WD, we have the SWB version so the ride is bouncy on certain sufaces.
Driving position good with a Range Rover height level.
Base model so nothing fancy inside, but we do like it and would buy another.
Reliability, economy and comfort are all good.
