1995 Mitsubishi FTO GPX review from Australia and New Zealand
"A real head turning performer"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust rattle (aftermarket Ralliart model).
Rattle in the driver's side window when fully open.
Problems with the starter motor. Random failure to start on first key-turn.
General comments?
A real head turner.
Replaced the standard 16" wheels with a set of 18" ALT. Wheel arches are far too big for the standard set.
Seriously quick if the revs are kept above 5000rpm (around where the mivec kicks in).
Sounds great with the Ralliart exhaust.
Handling is superb. Almost as good as an Integra Type-R, but easier to live with.
Cabin a bit dull, showing its age after 6 years on the market.
Still a great looker.
Worthy bargain if willing to deal with the wait for imported parts (up to 6 weeks from Japan)!
