2000 Nissan Altima GXE review from North America
"The best overall sedan in this price range"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
This fine auto has been refined and improved over the years. Very solid and has very good handling. Excellent brakes. Smooth on the highway and stable at 100 mph. Quiet ride. No torque steer.
The seat could be more comfortable and the engine should be 10% stronger to match the rest of the car. However, has enough power for practical use and is somewhat sporty in nature.
Should last a long time with proper care. I suggest you buy new and do not test the power until you about a 1000 miles for a proper break-in. The engine and transmission are still built in Japan and they seem to be flawless.
