1995 Renault Laguna RN review from Netherlands
"A few years back, the nicest in the M2-segment"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This Laguna came with a LPG-gas system. Due to that (overheating) I've burnt two valves at 170000 km and needed a new cylinder-head, radiator, water hoses etc. The coolant and motor oil merged together and decided to become something like chocolate pudding.
Needed two new front wheel bearings.
Two bonnet locks broke.
Two leaking brake cylinders at the back.
General comments?
Rigid structure of the bodywork.
Relatively low centre of gravity.
Sharp steering.
When it comes to comfort it's the best.
Timeless design, in five years time it still looks nice.
Like many modern cars the standard ML-tectal treatment is not that good.
