1969 MG C Roadster review from Switzerland
"A reliable, fast, good looking car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Twice the distributor broke down.
Actual oil consumption about is at 2 litres per 1000 Km.
Replaced seats and cover in 2000.
General comments?
My MG C is a very good and reliable car, but I do handle it with care since I own it, which means that for the first 10 to 15 Km I do not go over 2000 rpm until the oil is hot.
The car is an excellent long distance travel car with consumption around 12 litres per 100 Km.
I try to run it every second week at least (not with bad weather or with snow) for 50 to 100 Km so that everything warms up well. I often go over mountains up to 2500 m in the Alps.
