1997 Hyundai Lantra GLS review from Poland

"Roomy, well equipped car for the price of an average compact"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Suspension is tired. I think it shouldn't be at this mileage.

Clutch, handbrake and road lights needed regulation.

High voltage cables replaced with new ones (engine torn them at RPM below 1500).

General comments?

Roomy car (station wagon version) for 4 persons and kids with luggage.

Feels and looks fine, but lacks refinement of e.g. the Toyota Avensis.

Good performance, but too short range.

All-wheel disc brakes with anti lock are adequate for the high horsepower.

Too noisy at motorway speeds (lacks 6th gear).

Quality is way better than Fiat.
